By highlighting 10 ways foundations can approach diversity, this guide seeks to spark ideas and launch further dialogue.

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) today announced the New Jersey Community Stage Relief Grant Program. The $17.5 million program will provide grants of up to $300,000 to eligible for-profit establishments that host at least two regularly occurring live performances or events per week.
“From Count Basie and Springsteen to Sinatra and Queen Latifah, New Jersey has a long and rich history of supporting performing artists and the venues where they connect with their fans. The COVID-19 pandemic hit performing arts businesses particularly hard, and now that we are able to begin safely reopening it is critical that we help them get back on their feet,” said NJEDA Chief Executive Officer Tim Sullivan. “The New Jersey Community Stage Relief Grant Program, along with the New Jersey Council on the Arts program for nonprofit establishments, will provide much-needed funding to help performing arts venues recover from the impact of COVID-19 and get back to hosting the shows that help make New Jersey such a vibrant, exciting place to live.”
The Camden Funders Affinity Group serves as a vehicle for funders to connect and share updates about their initiatives throughout the city. We heard from Group members an interest to better understand the current environment that these programs serve and to identify opportunities for future endeavors.
In this first in-person meeting of 2024, please join your fellow Camden Funders to hear from each other about our current work in the city, as well as to gain insight into the upcoming efforts we each intend to engage in. Information gathered at this meeting will be used to inform our next meeting, where we will hear directly from leaders working across the city to advance progress in Camden. Light refreshments will be served.

The Camden Funders Affinity Group serves as a vehicle for funders to connect and share updates about their initiatives throughout the city. At the May 30th gathering (our first of 2024), we heard loud and clear that group members didn't want to wait too long before meeting again.
As such, please join your fellow Camden Funders for another in-person meeting to not only share more about your current work in the city, but also dive deeper into discussing the capacity of Camden-based organizations (both those that you already work with and those that can potentially be funded in the future), and how funders might better support them in building it.
A dedicated a portion of this meeting will refine the goals of the Camden Funders Affinity Group, as well as identifying potential speakers and topics for future meetings.

Join fellow CNJG members and the Camden Funders Affinity Group for a very special in-person and lively discussion with City of Camden Mayor, Victor Carstarphen. Serving the community long before becoming Mayor in 2021, Mayor Carstarphen looks forward to sharing his unique perspective on the tremendous progress taking place citywide, the opportunities that lie ahead, and to learn more about the impactful work you are leading throughout Camden.
In the first half of the meeting Mayor Carstarphen will share his insights on the city’s current priorities and opportunities, followed by a Q&A discussion with the Camden Funders. In the second half of the meeting, we’ll reflect on the mayor’s remarks, share updates on our current initiatives, and identify potential speakers & topics for future meetings. Light refreshments will be served.

If you’re the CEO, Executive Director, Executive Officer – this time and space from 4:00 – 5:00 pm on the third Wednesday of the month - is just for you. This is an opportunity to connect directly with your CEO peers for conversation, community and lightly facilitated topical conversations. The space is yours to share your experiences and challenges, ask questions, and offer ideas on how to support each other and your work. This is also an opportunity to build your relationships with you colleague CEOs in the CNJG network.
