As society grapples with the increasing prevalence of AI tools, the "Responsible AI Adoption in Philanthropy" guide provides pragmatic guidance and a holistic evaluation framework for grantmakers to adopt AI in alignment with their core values. The framework emphasizes the responsibility of philanthropic organizations to ensure that the usage of AI enables human flourishing, minimizes risk, and maximizes benefit.
The framework includes considerations for AI adoption in three key areas – Organizational, Ethical, and Technical – each essential for grantmakers considering the use of AI.

A new pilot study from The Conference Board and the Impact Genome Project® (IGP) introduces standardized social outcomes to help measure and compare the performance of societal investments. The standardized outcomes allow for benchmark metrics, including efficacy rates and cost per outcome. The study used data from 16 companies whose funding contributed to nearly 650 nonprofit programs. The benchmarks provide new insights into the effectiveness of corporate societal investments.

This handy reference tool contains the definitions for over 250 cause marketing industry terms used by savvy businesses and nonprofit organizations. When you meet with partners, whether you are a corporation or a nonprofit, it’s always beneficial to speak their language and show them that you fully understand their marketing landscape. We’ve taken some buzzwords straight from this year’s headlines and added others that have been around awhile but have taken on added importance in 2019.

Attention to the role of gender is most useful with programs that seek to change unhealthy behaviors, such as reproductive health and teen pregnancy, gender-based violence, substance abuse and educational under-achievement. This guide suggests that funders can work to improve program outcomes by helping the funding community and grantees recognize how men and women are affected by disparities in social expectations, such as codes of manhood and womanhood.
Impact100 South Jersey announced that it will award $200,000 in grants to local nonprofits as a result of its fall 2020 collective giving membership drive. Members gathered virtually on Wednesday, Jan 6th for the Big Reveal and celebration. The event was held to share the number of members who have joined and the total raised for grantmaking in 2021. This brings the total funds raised collectively by Impact100 South Jersey members to over $624,000 since 2017.
“With such a tremendous increase in need in our region, it’s been very rewarding to see how our generous members have responded, in a year that has been very challenging for many,” said Membership Co-Chair Angela Venti. “On behalf of the Impact100 Leadership Council, I’d like to express our deep appreciation for the way our new and existing members embraced coming together virtually in lieu of in person events, which we miss so much. We look forward to the time soon when we can bring our members together in person again to strengthen the bonds within our collective women’s giving community.”

At our 2025 Annual Meeting on June 12th, our members gathered to award $191,000 to six organizations that serve our region. The grand total our members have awarded to 27 local organizations since 2018 is now $1,411,360. We thank everyone who attended or supported our collective giving circle in any number of ways throughout the year!
