The Summit Foundation Announces Emergency Food Assistance Grants Amid SNAP Delays

On November 11, 2025, The Summit Foundation released $55,000 in emergency food assistance grants to Family Promise Union County, GRACE, SAGE Eldercare, St. Teresa of Avila Loaves and Fishes, Summit Area YMCA, and Wallace Chapel Food Pantry.

“With the largest source of food aid, the federal government, in flux, we have the resources and responsibility to help our neighbors through this uncertain time,” said Dana Turk, president of The Summit Foundation. “Our board of trustees therefore acted quickly to support these organizations with emergency grants as they fight hunger in our community.”
