FirstEnergy Foundation Donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross

Following Jersey Central Power & Light’s (JCP&L) comprehensive effort to restore power to customers impacted by four consecutive days of devastating storms, today the FirstEnergy Foundation announced a $100,000 grant to the American Red Cross of New Jersey. The donation extends a long-standing commitment to the Red Cross and its assistance to local residents through emergencies.

The contribution includes:

• $50,000 each to the American Red Cross’ Northern New Jersey response efforts and newly opened Central New Jersey Disaster Response Command Center in Tinton Falls;
• Coordination of emergency response and recovery efforts;
• Cleanup and recovery assistance for storm-impacted families;
• Support for community preparedness programs and resources that help New Jersey residents prepare for future emergencies.
