NJ Corporate Philanthropy Network: State of the Sector
Please note: this Zoom meeting is open to all funders, not just corporate funders.
Two recent reports can help funders know what’s happening in the nonprofit sector right now: The Center for Effective Philanthropy’s State of Nonprofits 2026: What Funders Need to Know, and the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits’ New Jersey Nonprofits: Trends and Outlook 2026. The combination of these two reports will help funders understand the various pressures nonprofits are facing both nationwide and here in the Garden State.
CEP’s fourth annual State of Nonprofits report offers insight into how nonprofits from across the country are faring amidst unprecedented challenges. Funders may also be interested in reading through the companion report: “A Sector in Crisis: How US Foundation and Nonprofits are Responding to Threats” to learn about examples of how nonprofits are facing these challenges, and how funders are responding.
According to the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits’ latest survey report, ongoing problems of rising demand for services, lagging resources, and workforce shortages are combining with a series of federal actions to undermine many nonprofits’ ability to meet escalating and complex community needs. New Jersey Nonprofits: Trends and Outlook 2026 details the findings of the annual survey of New Jersey’s nonprofit community conducted in late January through early February 2026.
Join fellow CNJG members and other funders as we hear from our distinguished speakers, CEP’s CEO, Phil Buchanan, and NJ Center for Nonprofits’ CEO Linda Czipo, about the highlights of these two reports, and have a quick conversation on ways funders can address the concerns revealed by the reports.
