New Jersey Civic Information Consortium Awards $630,000
The New Jersey Civic Information Consortium today announced the award of $630,000 in renewal grants to 13 organizations strengthening local news and civic information across New Jersey.
Originally scheduled for approval in June, the Board of Directors postponed its grant vote until the State finalized the Consortium’s Fiscal Year 2027 appropriation. Following the Legislature’s approval of a $1 million appropriation, the Board approved a strategic round of six-month renewal grants designed to provide continued support for existing grantees while preserving flexibility as funding conditions continue to evolve.
Since launching grantmaking in 2021, the Consortium has invested more than $13.5 million in local news and information projects serving communities across New Jersey.
