The Healthy Kids Healthy Communities funding endeavor served as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF)’s largest community-based initiative focused specifically on reversing the obesity epidemic in children at greatest risk based on race/ethnicity, income and/or geographic location. The final report to the field, Growing a Movement, shares how HKHC increased children’s access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity through changes in community policies, systems, and environments.  This is a national program but could be useful when looking at community-level HEAL policy change.
