The Summit Area Public Foundation (SAPF) recently awarded grants totaling in excess of $265,000 to 18 local nonprofit service providers. The grants will help pay for projects and purchases benefiting people with special needs, civic and community projects, education and the arts, and the elderly.
SAPF is supported entirely by private donations and bequests. In turn, the Foundation provides support to many nonprofit agencies that offer services in the community. In 2015, the Foundation awarded nearly $1 million in grants.
