The Provident Bank Foundation has announced the recipients of its Major Grants — funding between $5,000 and $25,000 — for the third and final cycle of the year.
The Morristown-based foundation awarded a total of $378,000 in funding to 30 nonprofit organizations in three priority areas: community enrichment; education; and health, youth & families. Award recipients are located in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania communities served by Jersey City-based Provident Bank.
“It is important to help our local nonprofits continue to operate and thrive as they meet new financial challenges as a result of the pandemic,” Samantha Plotino, the foundation’s executive director, said in a prepared statement. “Offering these organizations additional funding opportunities will allow them to keep providing valuable services and continue on their journeys of creating healthier, happier and safer communities.”
