OceanFirst Foundation is thrilled to announce plans to help even more schools create their very own “classroom of the future” this year. With plans to award a total of $250,000, OceanFirst Foundation has begun accepting applications for the 2018 Model Classroom Grant Program.
The popular grant program, which is designed to help local schools tap into their vision and create their idea of a classroom for the future, has previously funded a variety of projects including: outdoor classrooms, S.T.E.A.M. labs, Makerspaces, digital photography spaces and vocational classrooms. “Providing schools with the resources to enhance the classroom experience for students is something that we are very proud to support.” said Katherine Durante, Executive Director of OceanFirst Foundation.
In addition to the Model Classroom Grant Program, OceanFirst Foundation has also announced the expansion of eligibility for the 2018 OceanFirst Scholarship Program. Now open to all undergraduate students attending one of eight participating Colleges/Universities, students that meet the application criteria are eligible to apply for one of 280 scholarships totaling $400,000 provided by OceanFirst Foundation.
