New Transitions for a New Year

Friday, January 7, 2022

Each new year brings changes and transitions, and that goes for the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers as 2022 begins as well. Maria Vizcarrondo informed the CNJG Board of Trustees that she will be leaving the Council. We are grateful to Maria for her contributions to the organization, and for being available as a resource for us until her contract concludes on March 11.

The Board met in late December to discuss a CEO transition plan. We are pleased to announce Theresa Jacks will assume the position of Acting President and CEO. Having Theresa in this leadership role, will ensure the Board can thoughtfully and deliberately consider next steps, while maintaining our high level of programs and services, and keeping the Council’s many special initiatives on track and moving forward during this transition time.

We’re not only grateful to Theresa for accepting this role, but to the entire CNJG team for their ongoing dedication to the organization, bringing their very best to their work day in and day out, and always putting our members first. We clearly have a highly talented and skilled staff working on our behalf.

We’ll keep you informed as the Board determines next steps. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Theresa at [email protected] should you need additional information.

Thank you for your support of the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers. I wish you and yours a happy new year.

Best,

Jeff Vega
