Holiday Season Events

Wednesday, November 3, 2021

As November kicks off the ubiquitous holiday season and closing the final quarter of 2021, please allow me to use this issue to promote our last two events of the year and hopefully gain your interest and support in participating.

The November Investment Forum for Foundations and Endowments is right around the corner. I hope to see you there as well and encourage you to share the Investment Forum with your trustees and nonprofit partners. This is truly a must-attend conference for CEOs, executive directors, CFOs, trustees, investment committee members, and finance managers of foundations, endowed nonprofits, and those considering starting an endowment.

As members reimagined our work in philanthropy, the Investment Forum provides an opportunity for conversation around strategies for socially responsible investing. This event is well worth your time and you will be supporting CNJG as well.

Please mark your calendar and plan on joining us and your CNJG colleagues at the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting & Holiday Gathering on December 13 and 14. We had hoped to be in-person this year, but out of an abundance of caution, we’ll once again host the event virtually.

Our theme, From Moment to Movement: Upending Traditional Philanthropy, will explore how philanthropy can sustain and build on the momentum of the past two years to confront uneven power structures within our sector, call out systemic issues that diminish effective grantmaking, and elevate funder-nonprofit partnerships that center relationship building, collaboration, and equity.

Lastly, we will provide you with our 2020 accomplishments and welcome our new members and officers to the board.

We look forward to your participation in these CNJG events as we close out the year and welcome new opportunities in 2022.
