The Campbell Soup Foundation has chosen its 2019 Community Impact Grant recipients, with 31 nonprofits receiving a total of $595,000 — including several organizations in the food company’s home city of Camden.
Campbell Soup Co. said in a news release that its grantmaking focuses on three areas: increasing healthy food access, encouraging healthy living and nurturing Campbell neighborhoods.
“The Campbell Soup Foundation is a powerful community partner not only in Camden, but in many Campbell hometown communities,” Kim Fortunato, president of the foundation and the company’s director of community affairs, said in a prepared statement. “In addition to financial support, we are proud of our robust volunteer engagement program that supports our community partners in a variety of ways. Congratulations to this year’s outstanding recipients, who are making a significant impact in their local communities.”
