If you’re like me, you might be wondering where the summer went. However, if you are also like me, the autumn has its own rewards, and I’m looking forward to everything fall has to offer.
Here at the Council, we’re deep in the planning for the Annual Meeting and Holiday Luncheon. On Friday, December 13 over 130 of the Council’s members and special guests will gather at the APA Hotel Woodbridge to celebrate the holiday season, welcome new CNJG members, convene a brief business meeting to elect new trustees, and feature a dynamic discussion related to the vital work of philanthropy.
This year, our theme will tackle an issue we collectively struggle to overcome. “Challenging Power Dynamics to Build Strong Partnerships” will focus on how philanthropy can forge more transparent, trusting, and dynamic relationships with nonprofits and communities. To help us unpack this critical issue, I’m thrilled that Phil Buchanan, President of the Center for Effective Philanthropy will give the keynote.
I invite you to consider supporting the Annual Meeting this year with a sponsorship. We have a number of exceptional sponsor opportunities remaining for this event. The Speaker Sponsor supports our ability to have Phil as our keynote. And if you haven’t read it, don’t go out and purchase Phil’s new book, Giving Done Right: Effective Philanthropy and Making Every Dollar Count, because that book will be our Gift Book! The Gift Sponsor makes it possible to distribute the book to everyone in attendance.
Remaining sponsorship opportunities include one more Sustaining Sponsor, an exclusive Pre-Workshop Sponsor, and three Supporting Sponsorships. Click here for more information about sponsorship. And thank you to the sponsors that have already signed on: Signature Sponsor – Novartis, Sustaining Sponsor – The Prudential Foundation, Program Sponsor – Novo Nordisk, Performance Sponsor – The Provident Bank Foundation, and Contributing Sponsor – Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
Sponsorship is an exceptional way to support the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers, ensures we can continue providing excellent programs and services for members, and underwrites costs associated with the Annual Meeting. Please reach out to me or Theresa Jacks if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or learning more.
Believe it or not, December is really not that far away! I’m looking to seeing you at the Annual Meeting and Holiday Luncheon.
Maria Vizcarrondo, President and CEO
