Annual Meeting Back in Person

Annual Meeting Back in Person

Thursday, November 3, 2022

It’s been over 2 years since a large number of CNJG members were together in one place, but that will soon come to an end! On Wednesday, December 14, we’ll welcome over 150 Council members and special guests to the Sheraton in Edison for the 2022 Annual Meeting & Holiday Gathering. We’ll celebrate the holiday season, welcome new members, convene a brief business meeting to elect new trustees, and feature a dynamic presentation related to the vital work of philanthropy.

The Annual Meeting is the place where Council members and New Jersey’s philanthropic community come together and share ideas about the important work they’re doing. It provides a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, build on existing relationships, and forge new ones. This year we’ve planned extra time for networking and conversation during lunch to do just that!

Not only does the gathering bring us together with our colleagues, it’s also a venue for exploring new ideas and enhancing our knowledge. Continuing our learning arc started at the Spring Colloquium, “Igniting Equitable Systems Change Together,” the Annual Meeting keynote will help us discover how narrative change can transform systems. Speaker Bridgit Antoinette Evans, CEO of Pop Culture Collaborative, will share how philanthropy can help shift narratives to reframe how we see social problems, and imagine solutions based in trust, inclusion, equity, and social justice.

Following the in-person event, the Annual Meeting workshop, “The Changemaker Experience,” will take place virtually on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 am. Leading the webinar, Chantal Forster, Executive Director of Technology Association of Grantmakers, will highlight transformational methods that grantmakers can use to better understand the grantee experience with an eye towards responsive grantmaking.

As the annual meeting of members, I invite you to consider sponsorship of the event. We have a number of outstanding sponsorship opportunities to support this event – click here to learn more.
