Newark Funder Affinity Group: Creating a Roadmap for Inclusive Development in Newark
A recently completed set of recommendations to the City of Newark from the Rutgers University-Newark Project on Equitable Growth asks our framing question. How does a working class city in the midst of economic interest from a fast-growing metropolitan region harness newfound resources to grow in ways that ensure the maximum amount of inclusion and opportunity for its current and future residents? Join us for our first Newark Funder Affinity Group meeting of the year as we hear from a group of experts on the City of Newark’s plans to create a roadmap for inclusive development, and work that is already underway in the city’s neighborhoods.
Our guests will include:
Aisha Glover, President and CEO of the Newark Alliance
Al-Tariq Shabazz, Manager of Affordability, City of Newark Office of Economic and Housing Development
Professor David Troutt, Rutgers Center on Law, Inequality, and Metropolitan Equity (CLiME)
