Join us for a discussion of how best to support the social and emotional resilience of our youth in Newark as they readjust to school and address personal trauma. We will hear the expertise of both national and local practitioners, and discuss how the funding community can engage with our local leaders to support the social-emotional well-being of our youth.

Andria Amador, Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services at Boston Public Schools, will provide a presentation on the Boston Comprehensive Behavioral Health Model, which has seen success as a multi-year, tiered approach to serving students’ needs.  We will then hear from a local panel with the following experts and practitioners:

Andria Amador, Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services, Boston Public Schools
Maurice Elias, Director, Rutgers Social-Emotional and Character Development Lab, Rutgers University
Kyle Thomas, Principal of George Washington Carver Elementary School
