Increase the Success in Succession Planning: Preparing your Foundation for Future Leadership
Join your colleagues for a discussion on challenges to CEO succession planning, how to incorporate diversity and inclusion into your search, and how to plan for a smooth executive transition for everyone involved.
Many foundations are currently or have recently gone through an executive transition. While change can be exciting, a change in leadership can also be stressful and at times, confusing. At this Succession Planning Seminar, we will go over tips and resources for navigating an executive transition in a way that allows your foundation to continue its great work while successfully finding and onboarding the right leaders for the foundation’s present and future.
Koya Leadership Partners, a leading executive search firm that uses a collaborative approach to find a diverse range of candidates with the organization’s mission and values in mind, will present on the succession planning process. Koya will discuss important considerations that boards and search committees should be aware of when seeking a firm or hiring a candidate and the appropriate role of the current CEO in the search.
Following Koya’s presentation, CNJG members and foundation trustees who have recently experienced a search will share insights and experiences working with staff and fellow board members to create and implement a succession plan that works for the foundation.
