Hunger is solvable. Yet, according to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, 1.2 million people in New Jersey face hunger everyday. Food insecurity exists across counties and populations, and it has serious effects on a person’s mental and physical health.

Join fellow funders in discussing solutions to combat food insecurity in the garden state. We’ll hear from the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) about their most recent project, Assessment of the Landscape of Hunger and its Solutions, being funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. FRAC researchers will discuss initial findings and trends, how they are continuing to conduct this assessment, and ways the final report can support philanthropy to help reduce food insecurity. And since this work is still underway, this is your opportunity to share with FRAC what information or tools would be most helpful to your organization, and the specific communities or areas of need you support.

No matter who, what, or where you fund – attend this meeting to find potential opportunities to collaborate, share your biggest concerns around food insecurity throughout New Jersey, and connect with leaders in the fight against hunger.

Cost: Free for CNJG Members; $50 for Non Member Grantmakers

This program is only open to staff and trustees of grantmaking organizations.
