The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, MidAtlantic Arts Foundation, the Merrill G. & Emita E. Hastings Foundation, and the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers invite you to Grantmakers in the Arts’ Racial Equity in Arts Funding workshop.
The Racial Equity in Arts Funding workshop was developed by Grantmakers in the Arts as a way to support funders with nuts-and-bolts guidance on how to better serve African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American (ALAANA) communities/communities of color through their grantmaking. The workshop will include information on the history of racialization in the United States, the history of cultural funding and its relationship to racial structures, real-world examples of racial equity funding, and strategies and resources you can bring back to your organizations.
Cost: Free for CNJG Member and NonMember Grantmakers
A light breakfast, coffee, and tea will be provided in the morning. Lunch will be provided.
Please RSVP to Sylvia Jung by November 26 using the subject line: RSVP Racial Equity in Arts Funding workshop New Brunswick.
Please note that space is limited and RSVPs will be accommodated on a first-come first-served basis.
