CNJG’s Finance and Investment Affinity Group exists to keep foundation executives informed as they manage the investment of their corpus. Growth of foundation assets and the active exchange of sound investment strategies is the focus of each program.

We are pleased to welcome Kent Hogshire, CFA, Director, and recently named a Portfolio Manger on the Global Allocation Team at BlackRock to lead our breakfast that kicks off the new year with a Market Outlook for 2017, focusing on both equity and fixed income.

Speaker Bios

Kent Hogshire, CFA, Director, is a member of the Global Allocation team within BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies Group. He is an investment group leader, primarily responsible for global macro and thematic strategy and coverage of the industrials and transports sectors.

Mr. Hogshire's service with the firm dates back to 2000, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Mr. Hogshire began his investment career in 2000 at MLIM, initially as a research associate on Merrill Lynch Global Allocation Fund.

Mr. Hogshire earned a BA degree in international affairs from Princeton University in 2000. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Oscar Pulido, CFA, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies Group. He is a senior product strategist for the BlackRock Global Allocation Fund, responsible for representing the investment team on a global basis to both retail and institutional clients.

Mr. Pulido's service with the firm dates back to 1999, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he was the lead product manager for the retail separately managed account business. He began his career with MLIM as an asset manager advisor on the Global Sales desk.

Mr. Pulido earned a BBA degree with a concentration in finance and international business from The George Washington University in 2001 and an MBA degree from New York University's Stern School of Business in 2012. He is fluent in Spanish.
