Join CNJG Environmental Grantmakers for a conversation with New Jersey’s First Lady, Tammy Murphy (Bio). Mrs. Murphy’s leadership and engagement on issues of primary importance to New Jersey speaks for itself. As a self-described generalist, her experience working with nonprofits, think-tanks, and other organizations focused on the environment, education, health care, economic development, youth and family services, as well as the arts and trans-Atlantic relations, make her uniquely qualified for her new role, and an invaluable partner to the social sector in our state.

While her championship of environmental causes is well-known, we intend for our conversation with Mrs. Murphy to be expansive, and to explore the intersectionality of a broad range of issues related to social, economic, and environmental sustainability in New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for funders to share knowledge, insights, and best practices that can help to inform the many issues Mrs. Murphy is focused on. We invite funders across a spectrum of issues to meet the First Lady, and engage in the conversation.

Following the conversation with Mrs. Murphy, the Environmental Grantmakers Affinity Group will have the opportunity to exchange information, update colleagues on their work docket, compare notes about projects of interest, share best practices, and network with one another.
