Join us to learn about the Diversity in Arts Leadership (DIAL) internship program in New Jersey, and opportunities for engagement in 2022. DIAL, administered by Americans for the Arts (AFTA) and national partners, matches undergraduate students from backgrounds underrepresented in arts leadership with dynamic communities, energetic host arts organizations, and mentors to guide students’ personal and professional growth throughout the summer. In 2022, the nationwide, competitive selection process will grant paid, ten-week, internships with organizations based in New York City, New Jersey, Nashville, Boston, Sarasota, and Raleigh.

During this informative program, we’ll discuss how the program is working to embrace and support the next generation of arts leaders through mentorship, professional development, facilitated discussions, and more. You’ll hear a first-hand account from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, AFTA's first state partner; a former DIAL intern; and, the Grunin Foundation, one of DIAL's host organizations last year.

We hope you will engage in this critical discussion with colleagues on how the philanthropic arts and culture sector in New Jersey can support the next generation of diverse arts leaders.

Cost: Free for CNJG Members; $50 for Non member grantmakers.
This program is only open to staff and trustees from grantmaking organizations.
