Bringing the Cultural Data Project to New Jersey

Date: 4/6/2010
Time: 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Location: Webinar - CANCELLED

The Cultural Data Project (CDP) is growing across the country with 7 states already participating, including Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, California, Illinois and Maryland, and 18 more in active consideration of implementing the program in their states. In fact it is emerging as a model for national art and cultural data collection with the National Endowment for the Arts expressing interest in helping selected “pilot” states join in the program.

CDP, a program of The Pew Charitable Trusts with support from the William Penn Foundation and several other funders, is a powerful, online management tool designed to strengthen arts and cultural organizations, advance learning and exchange throughout the cultural sector, and help funders more effectively plan for and evaluate their individual and collective grantmaking activities. Among other things, the CDP allows users to track their institution’s financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations. The rich data available to participating states has been key to building strong advocacy for the arts.

Join New Jersey arts funders for an informational webinar on the Cultural Data Project. Learn how this extraordinary resource is providing great value for cultural organizations and the funders that support them, and how we can bring the Cultural Data Project to New Jersey.
