Are New Jersey communities on the road to recovery? What is being done in New Jersey to provide people access to employment? What are other regions doing? Now more than ever, foundations, non-profits, universities, private industry, and government on all levels must work together to develop new strategies for developing job opportunities and the training of a first-rate labor force that is better equipped to meet the new and emerging job market here in New Jersey.
The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers' Strong and Thriving Communities Affinity Group invites you to an overview of trends in New Jersey employment, housing, and neighborhood conditions led by Ira Goldstein (Bio), Director of Public Policy and Program Assessment at The Reinvestment Fund, followed by a discussion of workforce development initiatives being implemented nationally, regionally and locally. Joining us will be Judy Formalarie (Bio), Senior Policy Analyst, and Robin Widing, Executive Director, at the State Employment and Training Commission.
Cost: Free for CNJG members/$15 for non-members
NOTE: All participants must bring photo identification in order to enter The Prudential Foundation offices.
CNJG sincerely thanks The Prudential Foundation for hosting this event.
